About Us

The mission of WaterLinks is to educate and motivate people to use discharge and recharge methods as needed by climate and local conditions to assure clean, affordable water for all.

Founded by Sherry Ingram, Professional Geologist (NC No. 2129), WaterLinks encourages rainwater infiltration to recharge aquifers, and eliminates point-source contamination by removing underground storage tanks.  Through project management, the preparation of site-specific documents, and community presentations, small-scale earthworks and tank installations are implemented. Ms. Ingram has worked as an environmental geologist for 13 years, on small and large projects for both government and corporate clients, and applying a wide range of technologies and regulations.  Project s have addressed contamination from dense nonaqueous-phase liquid (DNAPL), volatile and semivolatile organic compounds, pH, metals, and petroleum in groundwater, surface water, sediment, and soils.  Ms. Ingram worked in the petroleum industry for eight years, on a national computer inventory of abandoned mine lands for two years, and as an educator for ten years.
